This may be an obvious question to some, but I'm not all that obvious sometimes. <G> I got the news item indicating the Icon submissions were closed and there would be an airing of the submissions next Thursday at 8 PM ET. I won't be home in time for the start of that, but oh well. My question is how does one listen to that? There didn't seem to be an explanation how to in the thing I read. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
I don't know either, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

jammin853, a radio station run by a few zoners will air it.
You'll type www.jammin853.com into your winamp open url thing, followed by :8000 if you're broadband, or :8002 for dial up, if it still works. dunno.
It may work with windows media player, I'm not sure. Lol, I think they should save the show and put it up somewhere for people who can't catch it Thursday.

It does work with both media player and winamp. And, the announcement said it would be aired several more times so people can catch it if they can't get it next Thursday night.

We're not going to make it available for download, at least I don't think so. You'll have to catch it at one of its airing times, sorry.

Thank you Dan, the answer man. It's pretty pitiful that people can't figure out the times in their own time zones, but it's nice of you to try to do the work for them.
A good website is www.timeanddate.com. You can see what is the time in different countries in the world. You can look by capital citty, or by country.
In My country Cyprus and also countries like Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, etc 8 eastern is 3 o'clock AM on the third.

Hey gang, Aaron here. I just thought I would read some of the thoughts here about Icon and see what i can do to help dispell or help out. As many of you know, JAMMIN' 85.3 web site was down. It is now back up and you can tune in. Zone icon's first ever broadcast will air Thursday night 8:00 PM eastern standard time. For those of you living in different time zones, the Icon web page now has a function that will allow you to figure out what time that is for you. Let any of the zone Icon staff no if you have questions or any problems we can help with. We want all of you to be able to tune in and listen to your fellow zoners. The reason we are not offering downloads of the show is that we want you to tune in and listen. Besides, if we allow you to download, you may not be able to vote. I mean to say that for twenty four hours after the show airs, voting will open. If you download and listen to the show a day later with a ahalf hour to spair, you will miss voting and that will not be good. Take care my friends and stay well
When the show is on, a system message will be sent to remind those logged in, and "click here to listen" links will be shown at the top of the Icon page (linked from the main menu). Two streams will be provided, one for those on broadband (in cd-quality stereo) and one for those on dialup.
